| GetWET Field Trip Planning
Before your field
trip to the GetWET Observatory, decide how you are going to manage your
students in the field. Ideally, you can divide your class into 6 groups
of 5. Each group can use one of the backpacks full of equipment listed
below. Each group should have 1 adult helper. At least 1 GetWET staff
member will be in the field with your class. This person will stay by
the wells and can help one group. With advanced notice, we may be able
to get some geology club volunteers to help with your other groups.
In addition to the 6 backpacks, we will bring two sun shelters and a
toolbox containing: first aid kit, sun screen, bug spray, garbage bag,
extra batteries, and detailed instructions for equipment. You may want
to advise your students to bring their own bottle of drinking water.
