About CLT West

CLT West (www.cltw.org) is a consortium of five universities (Colorado State University, Montana State University, Portland State University, University of Montana, and University of Northern Colorado) collaborating with tribal and community colleges, as well as middle and high schools in Colorado, Montana, and Oregon. The Center was formed to better serve students who have traditionally not benefited from Science, Technology , Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) educational reform, and to provide on-site and distance support for teachers in high need settings.

Scientists, mathematicians and educators are working together through the Center to conduct research, provide learning opportunities for preservice and inservice teachers, and to design and deliver an innovative graduate curriculum. Distance technologies will enable the Center to deliver graduate coursework in science and mathematics education to regional and national audiences, and to connect teacher leaders and researchers working throughout a large geographic area.
